Group Coordinators

All our Coordinators are volunteers who give their time willingly. If you are willing to help either with an existing group or have an idea for a new group, please email: 

Leaders required

Leaders are required for dance groups. This could be one person or a shared leadership. Line Dancing and Scottish Dancing groups have had to be suspended until a leader can be found. We also would like to set up any other type of dancing group eg. Ballroom, Zumba, Disco etc if you have the skills and would be willing to help keep U3A members fit and healthy.Email:

Open Groups

Groups that are designated as “open” means that any member in the u3a NW Cheshire Network can attend.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Membership of Bramhall u3a should have been renewed by March 31st. If you have forgotten , please renew your membership as soon as possible, so that you can continue to attend meetings and Group activities. Art Appreciation – The Next Meeting

 Everyone is welcome to the next Art Appreciation talk  which will be at 2pm on Friday April 12th at the Village Club on Lumb Lane when the subject will be Stanley Spencer The Road to Calvary This will be the last talk of the season, which will restart in September For more details email:

History 2 – up and running

The original History Group is full, however, if you are interested in history, then why not join this new group and make new friends. Initially, there will be one meeting per month in members’ homes, at 10.30am on the first Thursday, finishing around 12noon. The timeline for the first year will be pre-history upto 1603 (approx.) Possible topics for discussion; Offa’s Dyke; the Roman Empire; Hadrian’s Wall; lives of mediaeval women; men of power; stately homes: Tudor Royal ladies.  Other subjects can be decided at the first meeting.   Choose your own historical person, place or event to feedback to the group in a relaxed, friendly environment.   Due to logistical restrictions, the group will consist of a maximum of eight members. Bridge Player needed ASAP

Angela Harding, who runs the Beginners’ Bridge Group on a Wednesday afternoon, really needs your support. It’s supervised play for beginners who may need assisstance. You do not need to be an expert and no teaching is required, only a desire to help others in a small friendly group. If you can help, please email:

Discussion 2 Group

We now have a second discussion group with room for more members. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 2.0pm. Our members take turns to host the group and choose a topic for discussion. For more details email: Also check out “Discussion 2” on the Groups Index page.
