Our previous co-ordinator labelled our group ‘Upper Intermediate Spanish’, but since then new members have joined us with a range of abilities, so we have adapted to this.  We don’t have a qualified Spanish educator at present, so contribute material ourselves.

At present we are a group of 6 members who meet every Tuesday from 10.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m in each other’s homes, where we have coffee, a brief chat and update before starting our Spanish class.

We study material from various sources, e.g Spanish magazines, reading, speaking, and translating articles and doing dictations.  We talk about ourselves on a variety of subjects – our interests, families, celebrations, holidays, give opinions and so endeavour to improve our knowledge of grammar, range of vocabulary and spoken Spanish through these activities.

There is no cost involved, but it is useful to have a Spanish/English dictionary and possibly a verbs book.  Anybody who has an intermediate knowledge of Spanish would be very welcome to join us.
