The French Group has now been in existence for ten years and has meetings approximately every two weeks on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 4.00pm.

We are very lucky to have a retired French educator as our tutor, for grammar and vocabulary using a magazine (Rendezvous), which we subscribe to. This is supplemented by newspaper cuttings, magazines, and leaflets from supermarkets and tourist information .

Most members have studied French before, usually at school but are rather rusty. However, we all have an interest in brushing up our skills either to use French on holiday or because of family connections in France.

We are trying to improve our conversational skills by discussing magazine articles on topics of current interest in France.

Unfortunately, the existing group is not well suited to a complete beginner.
