Group 1: Olga Hampson (2nd Monday of the month) – 10.30am – Centrepoint Cafe, Bramhall Methodist Church

We had another very eclectic mix of topics and destinations during 2023.  We started the year journeying to the Edinburgh Fringe with Norman Foreman, a 12 year old stand-up comedian.  We then travelled to Japan for the Phone Box at the Edge of the World before heading To Venice With Love. After that, we read the story of the V2 Nazi rocket project by Robert Harris followed by Endurance, Shackleton’s expedition to Antarctica.
There were, in between these epic stories, a couple of fiction and crime fiction books, an Italian/American actor’s biography, plus an historical novel.
