The next Art Appreciation talk will be at 2pm on Wednesday May 13th at the Village Club on Lumb Lane when Frank Vigon will be giving a talk on The Glasgow Boys Friends Reunited. The group painted mainly rural themes in an Impressionist style at the turn of the last century . Everyone is welcome to attend and there is a charge of £3

Coin a Caption
To highlight the fact that there is a vacancy for a co-ordinator in the Art Appreciation Group, and to keep interest in the group alive, we invite any member to suggest a caption for this picture.

It seems the Danish art gallery did not find it as funny as the rest of us – see second picture. (Sept 2023)
Suggestions so far I presume this was his white period. It’s a copy, the original’s in the Tate Modern. They paid how much? I think they’ve hung it upside down. It’s such a post-modern narrative on the universe of all humanity. I ordered a 50 x 100 white board. I assumed it was metric. Blank looks as portrait of Invisible Man is unveiled. |  |
