August 27th - 30th 2013	U3A Residential Summer School The NW Region of U3A has organized a residential Summer School to be held near Penrith. There are 7 courses (Archeology, Energy, UK Cinema, Geology, Creative Writing, The Romantic Movement [Poets], Painting). 	Bob Dumbarton & Mike Hayward completed the 11.75 mile Peaks walk in 6 hours 15 mins which included a total ascent of 2500ft. They were raising money for the U3A charities St Anne's Hospice & The Wellspring
