It is a very relaxed group and there has been much fun and laughter as we learnt various Scottish dances. The dances are quite lively so Scottish Country Dancing is good for keeping fit. We organise weekly sessions for dancers on a Friday afternoon. New members are always welcome and if you have not danced before this is fine. The only things you will need to start dancing are a pair of flat comfortable shoes and some energy.
All our sessions are open to members of all U3A's in the NE Cheshire network.
If you are interested in joining us please either contact us by email or phone Sheila, her number is in the paper/email newsletter.
December 2018 Report: View
We've had a good year, learning some new and difficult dances, as well as welcoming some new dancers and experienced dancers to the group. I was pleased to have a surprise visit from the chairman at one of our meetings so that he could see for himself that the group functions as it should which is the committee's responsibility under U3A rules. The dancers were also pleased to meet him and to feel that the committee were interested in the group.
We meet weekly on Fridays from 1.45 to 3.15 pm at the Bramley Centre from mid September to early December apart from half term and also from mid January to the end of April apart from half term and Holy Week. New members are always welcome but please use my phone number on the back of the printed newsletter to contact me as I rarely look at my computer!
