Lockdown News
Quite a few of the line dancers keep in contact via a Whatsapp group where we chat, encourage and support each other over the weeks. We keep each other entertained with amusing videos or stories. We have included links to exercise routines for seniors, riddles, quiz questions and puzzles.

As usual the Line Dancing Group had its Christmas party on the last session before the seasonal break. This year there was an optional "festive" dress code which was "HO, HO, HO." A good time was had by all.

In November, following a group discussion, we agreed to raise some funds for the Wellspring Centre. We started our "Wear a Colour to Line Dance" venture. This involves us giving a donation in exchange for wearing clothes of a certain colour when we dance. On this occasion, the agreed colour chosen to wear that week by members of the group was blue.
Here we are having a short break from the dancing!

December 2019 Report: View
The line dancers have continued to meet on a weekly basis, with the usual breaks over Christmas, Easter and Summer. We have had three parties during the year, which have proved to be a lot of fun. Some of us like to enjoy a bit of themed fancy dress for the parties, which is always optional. With new dances being introduced every two or three weeks, it gives the participants the opportunity to grow in their line dancing journey. The new starter class has continued to prove particularly popular and numbers have increased during the year. The dancers have said that they quickly fall in love with the music which comes from so many different genres, which in turn, make them keen to get on the dance floor. Chris Chapman
