2021 Annual Report: View
The French Group has now been in existence for ten years, and has meetings approximately every two weeks on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 4.00pm. We are currently meeting on Zoom
We are very lucky to have a retired French teacher as our tutor, who teaches grammar, and vocabulary using a magazine( La Vie outre Manche) which we have subscribed to supplemented by newspaper cuttings, magazines, supermarket and tourist leaflets .
Most members have studied French before, usually at school but are rather rusty, however we all have an interest in brushing up our skills either to use French on holiday or because of family connections in France.
We are trying to improve our conversational skills by discussing magazine articles on topics of current interest in France.
Unfortunately the existing group is not well suited to a complete beginner.
